The DuroMax model XP10000E is a heavy duty portable 16 horsepower generator that you can use to run most appliances as well as tools that use a lot of power. These generators can give you up to 10000 watts of surge power or 8000 watts of running power, and the dynamo can run at 50% load for as long as 10 hours. This power generating device can let you remain independent when the regular electricity is out because it keeps your appliances and your heat or fans running so you stay comfortable. With this DuroMax generator, you just need to have the gasoline. Once it is set up, your home can be protected from the outages caused by natural disasters and infrastructure failures. The XP10000E generator is painted gloss black and features a red and white logo and lettering so you can easily see the directions. A bold blue gas tank and engine cooling fan cover where the starter pull cord is housed add eye appeal to the unit. These portable generators feature wheelbases that can make them easy to turn around, and the hinged handle can fold down to get it out of your way when you are not using it. They have an electric start that can make them easy to turn on and a fuel tank that can hold 8.3 gallons of gas so you don't have to frequently refuel. The electric start works by turning the key to the on position. After that, the recoil from a single pull of the start cord sets everything in motion. This 1000 watt DuroMax portable generator has several outlets for different purposes, and the voltmeter control panel can let you monitor how many watts of electric current the high-powered unit is putting out at a glance. The outlets include two 120 volt ports, a 20 amp port, a 120/240 volt outlet, a 30 amp port that is specially installed for high powered tools and construction equipment, and a 12 volt charging port that can let you plug in chargers for your battery and other rechargeable items and accessories. The portable DuroMax XP10000E weighs in at a solid 249 pounds and measures a convenient 27.5 by 29 by 40 inches. A low oil protection circuit breaker is a feature that shuts the machine off if it runs low on oil. This can help protect the 16 horsepower gasoline engine from damage so that you get the maximum use possible from it. This rugged dynamo can even be an ideal addition to any job site where powering saws, drills, and other equipment is critical. In addition to delivering plenty of wattage output from the fuel engine, this DuroMax energy generating system can run so quietly that the EPA ruled it safe to use in national parks. A spark arrestor can help reduce the risk of fire from flammable debris when using the device. The inverter feature of this generator has a manual switch that can let you change the current over to run the electricity in an RV. Only15 hours use
I got a great deal at $499 with free shipping. So far I've had a problem with engine shutting down after it ran continually for 5-6 hours. Haven't been able to run it longer to check but so far I'd say I'm very happy. Runs and is quieter than any of this size I've been around. Great value keeps me from complaining but I'd be more concerned if I'd paid $1200+ which is what I expected. Overall power output is amazing. This thing is HEAVY though. GREAT GENERATOR!!
Just bought the Xp10000E generator and here came a major snow storm!! The price is fantastic!! Since I am unable to pull start a generator this one having to just turn a key is PERFECT . Already have used it for several days on and on due to the power outages. Watched a great Utube video but I was still confused about a few things . I’m a woman in the 60’s club! I called the support number and the Technician was so patient, he explained what I needed very easily and answered ALL my questions. Early this am my husband went to start it and it died and wouldn’t start again. I finally MADE him call Support line and another AMAZING Technician walked him through everything he even listened as my husband tried to crank it . From that he told him to pull the spark plug ,let it dry put it back and IT STARTED IMMEDIATELY AND NO PROBLEMS!! I can’t say enough about the support line I’ve never had one THIS GOOD on anything. And a Historic moment was made!! My husband called back to THANK his Technician for the spot on help AND HE learned something!! This man has Never thanked anyone for help ( of course he never needs help ) LOL AND admitted to learning something!! Especially since he knows it ALL !! Therefore I highly recommend this generator for any home owner any age ( he’s 74) easily pulls the start ! We are hoping to have it wired into the house since our house was built for that to happen. This generator comes with the plugs an Electrician needs to wire it . Not the transfer switch. It’s quiet and SUPER POWERFUL!! Very happy with purchase
I purchased for $499! a month ago. I had not used it but set up a 60 Amp breaker on my main panel for input. This generator has max 69 Amps. Well along comes IRMA and for 4 days it ran constantly without a hitch. Every time I would turn something you could hear a drop and with a second, it went right back up. I originally got it so I could run a 5 ton AC and it did but I only ran it for a couple of hours. What really worked out is the with the 50AMP output to my main panel, I ran a 30 AMP output to my 100 amp panel box. This worked great so every fan, light and garage doors worked. I was careful to use microwaves and induction cooktops. I am thrilled with how this worked for the last 4 days. Assembly of this generator was easy. After adding gas and oil the generator started easily and ran good, It is easy to move with the wheels and handles . I have only used the generator twice so far but it performed well. I purchased this generator for the 50 amp plug to run a welder and plasma cutter. It seems to work well for that use. Great Generator
The sale price was worth the wait. I saw it on sale last year and passed on it. I was sorry I did when Edison decided to make upgrades to their system in the middle of a hot summer. Bring familiar with power outages having lived along the Colorado River for 20+ years, I always had a standby generator. This was out of the box simple, attach the wheels and front legs. Purchased this item 2 weeks ago and had an electrician hook it up to my house through my breaker box and he tested it to see if it could handle using just about everything on at the same time in my house. I have a 4 bedroom , 3 bath house with 2 kitchens , dining room , living room , and full gym, which we turned on all the lighrts in each room, turned on 3 tvs , turned on the microwave, had the heat pump blasting, also the water heater which uses the most of wattage than anything here and it handled all this with no problem whatsoever. The electrician checked the amps in the breaker box while all this was being used and it only was using right at 50 amps and he said I did not need to be using no more than 60 amps so as you can see it handled all this easily so im really pleased it handled everything with out any problem, also the start of generator was a complete breeze, after we put the 2 wheels on it, filled the motor oil inside, put the gas and gas chemical inside that keeps the gas from messing up the carburator and just turned the key it cranked up immediately the first time without any hesitation which was so great. "Power for power"
What a great generator! I had received it very fast. It took me 30min to setup and start. It fired right up and has seen plenty of run time. I have already done its first oil change. My only small issue are the tires. This is a heavy generator. The wheels and tires need to be as stout as the rest of it. When the generator sits in one spot for a period of time, it has flat spots in the tires. It makes it a little more difficult to move.
