Best Generator ever made
I own a couple of Honda generators. This EU3001 and an EU2000i. I've had the 2000 since 2005 and have only cleaned the air filter and changed the oil a a few times and the spark plug once. No issues. Still fires up first time. My one suggestion: drain the gas from the float bowl any time it is going to sit longer than 30 days. It will prevent and carburetor problems and preserve the life of your Honda.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Super Quiet
This generator is unbelievably quiet. You will not receive any complaints about noise at any campground or event that you take it too. It has an electric start but I'm not sure why. Best generator
If you plan not to use a electric dryer or range or any 220 vac appliance this is the generator. I have owned honda generators for more than 30 years now. Like that power
Very nice generator. It is small so I have to be careful just to power up just what I need to get by with like the lights, refridgeraters, freezer, TV, and furnace. You hardly can tell the difference between generator mode or REA mode. I even plug in a set of clear Christmas lights so the neighbor lady next door sees that I have lights so she can get after her husband why don't we have lights. Great first impressions.
Having just purchased this Honda generator I can't write about long-term use, yet it started on the first pull once I added the required oil and fuel. It is very quiet as advertised and reviewed. If I was on a larger property and did not have neighbors close by I would have bought the 7000 watt Honda generator. The 3000is rolls around just fine on a spare furniture dolly. I recommend Honda for the reliability over the long run. Update Sept. 2021. I bought and installed the red wheel set sold by a third party and love them. I start the 3000is every two months to keep it happy. Was about to sell my old Coleman 3000 watt generator and got it working so well it starts in three pulls or less. If I wear ear plugs I can be within 100 feet of it so I may keep using it on remote jobs.
