As the drama begins, corrupt Georgian businessman Joseph Bloxham finds something unexpected in the woodwork of his new home. Back in the Twenties, the happy engagement party of young couple Felix de Momery and Ruth is spoiled by the spectre of a ghostly bride. And, back in the present day, Ben soon finds himself in darker, more dangerous waters than he could possibly have foreseen...

Just the right amount of creepy
I saw this on TV one Christmas years ago and recently we were discussing ghost stories at christmas and decided I would like to see it again. I remembered it as one of the best with just the right amount of creepiness but not enough to put you off going to bed. Great story - mostly chilling than really scarey - if you like M R James and vintage Hammer films you'll probably like this.
