Old used wornout. Is it really anUpgrade?
I bought this to upgrade my old, perfectly functioning computer. Luckily it does sort of function, but there are cons. My old computer functioned, but not at all fast. This CPU did not increase the speed, but added some strange pauses and slow-ups.... Result: I think the old 4400 CPU is faster than this recycled 5400!!! My guess is that this 5400CPU is partly worn out. - perhaps only one core is working. It is salvaged from a thrown-out computer. I tried both my old CPU and this newer? CPU and think my computer functions better with the old one. By the way, I bought other old salvaged CPUs for my other computers, also RAMS and must say that all have been disappointing, especially the RAMS. Next time I will build a new computer from scratch and throw out my outdated one. Old recycled CPUs and RAMS are as risky as playing Lotto.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Bang for your buck!
I re-built an old HP off-the shelf PC and this was about the fastest CPU upgrade the motherboard could handle. Woke it right up! Coupled with a RAM upgrade and an old video card I had lying around I have a viable PC that can keep up with me!
