A perfect low cost solution
While metal is thin grade it cuts easily although card needed to avoid distorting shape. We needed an understated fender to finish our 1899 Victorian fireplace restoration and this product exceeded our expectations.

WORKS PERFECTLY
I was fed up with jumping up to retrieve burning coals that had rolled out onto the fire rug so invested in an inexpensive fire fender. For the price ( £19.95 ) - it was well worth the money. Because it is expandable it fits the fire grate perfectly ( see photos ) It does the job and I am very pleased with my purchase

Okay for a quick fix
It was cheap to buy, this is reflected in the flimsy quality. There product is secured at the corner by three nuts at each corner, two of the nut where over size or had no thread and needed to be replaced.
