Nikon used this design for more than 20 years after the F-401 series became popular. It is comfortable to hold and simple to operate. Without batteries, the apparatus weighs only 23 ounces; the body measures 6.05 inches wide, 4 inches high, and 2.55 inches deep. This item requires four AA batteries. When you remove the battery cover, you'll find two vertical and two horizontal slots for placement. This classic SLR camera offers a few more options than its point-and-shoot counterparts. The viewfinder, however, doesn't overwhelm the user with information. At the bottom, it has an exposure indicator, focus indicator, flash signal, and warnings about over or underexposure. The BriteView screen works with the central focus brackets to provide the viewfinder with 92% frame coverage. It works up to 0.8x magnification as long as you're using a 50-millimeter lens. With an AI-S AF lens mount, you can create different effects with a variety of lenses. Simply couple it to the camera's metering system.The N4004 is built with three-zone matrix metering systems that are center-weighted and activated each time you take a photo. Exposure metering ensures that the camera selects the appropriate automatic operation for your situation. This includes settings such as program, shutter priority, and aperture priority. This Nikon 35-millimeter model utilizes exclusive Image Master Control software that allows you to control shutter and aperture functions with a dial. Shutter speed is 30 1/2000 sec. The unit's built-in TTL speedlight flash is based on strobe technology and is ideal for 28-millimeter lenses. Within a 10-foot range, your photos should come out vivid. In order to switch from manual to autofocus, find the button under the lens that is labeled M-A. When you choose autofocus mode, you'll find that you can snap the picture when a satisfactory focus has been achieved. To set the focus, press the button halfway down and then wait for the system to make all the necessary adjustments. The Nikon F-401 N4004 comes equipped with auto film advance and rewind so that you can easily take photo after photo without pause. The usable speed is pre-set and spans from ISO 25 to ISO 5000.
