  • Good little bench drill

This is a very good little drill for the price, especially when you consider a similar European made one costs four times as much. I have drilled and countersink the baseplate of mine to screw it down -easily done. I don't think it will be capable of heavy work but I am a model maker and it seems ideal for me. You may need to buy a small machine vice to go with it as I have done. Needless to say the finish is a little rough round the edges but nothing that will affect the operation of the drill. I felt I was taking a bit of a risk buying unseen but the drill arrived the day after I ordered it and I'm very pleased with it -after admittedly limited use so far. Assembly is self explanatory which is just as well as the instructions are entertaining to say the least. I have used the good quality button above as I don't think it is bad but obviously you get what you pay for.

  • Does the job very well.

Is a simple, but great product for a great price. Only thing I don't like is the handle to set the height of the drill, as you have no accuracy of the height this way (that's why only four stars), but for this price I don't complain. This is my second one, so from experience with my first one I can say this is also a durable machine.

  • Good value and enough capacity for my needs

I'm very happy with this tool. It does exactly what I need, great for making small parts and quite generous chuck capacity. As a hobbyist machine that will get occasional use, the price is very reasonable. It doesn't take up much space on the bench and can easily be moved if necessary. It looks quite well made. Tiny, but has a nice cast base, chuck feels positive, and so far nothing appears eye-catchingly flimsy. If I'm careful with it, I expect it to last a while. An inexpensive solution to a need for greater accuracy - much better than wobbling about with a hand drill!

  • Mini Bench Drill Press

This is a nice little drill if used within its capabilities. It has capacity of 6.5mm drill. The 100watt motor needs care. Ie a light hand and patience. I use a pilot drill for the 6mm in metal. The drill runs very accurate with a good range of speeds. It handles sub 1mm drills. It takes up little bench space and is light enough to shelf out of the way. It’s a a good precision drill to run alongside a 13/16mm bench drill. For the price it’s a bargain. Update 11/6/20 I’ve used this drill now in the course of my model building. It handles all non ferrous metals, both bar and sheet. Cast iron is no problem. Steel / stainless needs care, patience and a sharp quality drill. As above, if I need to go to 6 / 6.5mm in steel use a pilot drill or a larger bench drill. I’ve found it to be extremely accurate with quality drill bits. It’s a pleasure use. Good good value for the money. A worthwhile investment for model making.

  • A neat robust hobby drill

Quite surprised how robust this is. The small chuck did catch me out, but a larger replacement one can be bought for a fiver online (it's a B10 taper). It will drill 12mm holes through thin sheet steel with gentle pressure.

  • Great product for hobbyists.

Great for the price and quick delivery. I needed something with an accurate vertical drilling capability for micro drill bits and this does the job perfectly. Only using for occasional jobs so can’t comment on longevity or reliability, however it feels solid and well built.

  • A great little product

A great little product for it's price, does everything that you would expect from a much more expensive item. I bought it to drill holes down to 1mm diameter on the model steam engine that I am working on at present and it is perfect for this purpose and much more. Only thing to bear in mind is that it does have to be mounted on something at around eye level.

  • Great value for the money

Perfectly adequate for the light work I put it to. Chuck runs true, useful speed control. Only thing lacking are lugs to screw it to the bench. Easily sorted though, by drilling countersunk holes in the table. (You will need a bigger powerful drill for this.)

  • Very good value

Simple, and not too big. Does the job well, though I wish it would accept slightly larger drill bits.
