The thin cloth bag containing the African Nightcrawlers was tightly knotted and lightly moist to keep the worms alive. I think the small plastic bag helped with the moisture control during shipment. Great value and quality!
The worms arrived quickly, well packed and in good health. I missed the mailman and had to pick them up at the post office 4 hours later. I was worried because of their trip through the Sonoran Desert in a mail truck but when I pick them up the were all healthy and quickly dived into their bucket of Peat. Not one casualty. Love these worms
The kit was well packaged along with the other kits I bought. These worms are really nice sized and plentiful in the kit. I'm guessing some of them were being harassed by the other worms as they had made their way out of the cloth bag but were still inside the plastic bag. Opening it I was met by worms of all different sizes and what I'm guessing are a bunch of cocoons. No dead loss. Once I released them in my bin they started burrowing immediately. If you're looking for a kit to start an African nightcrawler bin you can't go wrong with this one.
