Great film, great acting
It's a great film of how families used to be. Father at work Mother at home. The children are grown up and working. It's when children respected their parents, even though Father is strict and Mother is the softer one. The Father is unapproachable and he doesn't realise it until the children all pack up to leave home and his wife walks out on him and he goes to find her because everything has just built up inside her and as she contemplates jumping in the canal,he finds her and let's it all out as he hadn't realised that was how he came across. Great film highly recommend if you like social history. Because that's how families were then.
