Gibson Les Paul Voodoo Electric Guitar

About this product

Product Information

Since its introduction in 1952, the Gibson Les Paul has become one of the world's most famous and recognizable electric guitars, and its popularity continues well into the 21st century. While guitarists and non-guitarists alike are familiar with the iconic Les Paul, within the world of the Gibson Les Paul are myriad variations and models. Among the more distinct versions of the Les Paul is the darkly sleek Gibson Les Paul Voodoo. The two colors which dominate this Gibson are ebony and dark red, including the fifth fret skull, which is a design touch that one is unlikely to find on many other Gibson guitars. The double-slug pickups follow the black and red theme, as do the volume and tone controls. Sound-wise, this Gibson has a reputation for being appropriate for blues and country playing, but being a Les Paul, the Voodoo also holds its own with heavier styles.

  • Gibson Voodoo Guitars are exceptional

These guitars were produced by Gibson for a limited time period. There were 4 guitars in the series - Les Paul, SG, Flying V and Explorer. I am fortunate enough to have all of these guitars and I can tell you that they are great playing guitars. The combination of the ebony fretboard and the swamp ash body give the guitars a very warm sound. They sound great through a clean amp channel or a distorted amp channel. Also, the swamp ash body makes the guitars lighter than the typical Gibson bodies. These guitars are very collectable because of their playability and the sound.
