Great price- Great printer - Good quality.

Solidly built (11kg - I felt sorry for the delivery girl !). I ordered this printer after doing a lot of researching online. A lot of reviews say it is "built like a tank" - and it is! It is easy to set up - its mostly built up for you (minimum of assembly). I couldn't get it to level the baseplate with the paper very easily - but found it easier to setup using the auto level module. I was up and running in less than half an hour. I am very impressed with this printer so far - the quality of the prints is very good. I've printed about 15 things so far, and with the exception of 1 (probably my fault, as I am totally new to this), all have come out excellent. I have not attached the laser yet ( I'm having too much fun with the printer! ), but will get round to it soon. All the reviews say the laser is very easy to setup and use, and results are good. It can be a steep learning curve - I had to learn all about 3D printing, slicing, CAD etc, but I am enjoying it. If this printer keeps going like it has so far - I will be very happy. I got this for a great price (£161) from the Anycubic shop on Ebay - its advertised for up to £350+ in some places! I can recommend this printer.

  • Most critical review

Ultrabase bed adhesion is excellent, design is mostly good, but poor quality control causing problems

The general construction is pretty robust, and as a result it's possible to get good print quality out of this machine. However, I had some pretty serious quality control issues with mine (internal power supply connections loose, failed hot end cooling fan) that made it useless out of the box, and certainly not the 5 minute assembly and setup that is advertised. I have read reports of others having the same issues. The design of the linear bearing for the Z axis (base) is also causing lots of people problems (look on Thingiverse or Youtube for i3 mega bed alignment) which affect print quality on some parts of the bed. Overall this has the potential to be a great printer, but only if you get one that's actually built right, or you are prepared to spend some time tweaking it.

  • Look no further

Fantastic printer, not to mention that the seller was lightning fast to ship it. I am quite accustomed to CNC's but this was my first 3d printer ever. Read that one needs to spend some time to assemble, adjust and calibrate it. Well, its not true. Took me 30min flat to start printing with no issues. Maybe someone inexperienced in assembling stuff might take slightly longer but would still do a good job. The instructions are very clear and cover most things, including the printer slicer settings. The slicer setting are the most important to get right straight away to avoid frustration. I reccomend it to anyone starting in 3d printing. I'm loving it...

  • Easy to set up.

It's a self assembly kit, but easy to put together. I somehow managed to disconnect a wire during the assembly but it was obvious what happened and managed to fix it myself. I contacted the help desk and they were reassuring that in opening up the control box I had not invalidated the warranty. They responded very quickly. The printer needs to be very precisely levelled, but providing you follow the instructions it was easy, the first prints were fine. This is a product I would recommend for a beginner.

  • Don’t try to rush

Very easy to put together with clear instructions It’s a lovely tool to get started on 3D printing, I would recommend that any one starting use’s Tinkercad. The cura software needs updating to ultimate cura which works well. But do not expect to print your ideas straight away. V C age 81

  • MEGA!!

I did loads of research before buying this printer. It really does live up to its name MEGA. Well built and very sturdy. Literally took 20 mins from opening the box to starting the first print, which was 2 owls that come preloaded on the SD card. They came out very well. High level of detail. The ultrabase bed releases the prints once it cools down. No scraping or prying required. I would highly recommend it. I paid £285 and nobody I know can believe it prints so well for the price. Highly recommended.

  • A Fantastic Value 3D printer

The good stuff: Built like a tank, very very easy to assemble, print quality exceeded expectations, the touch screen simple and quick to use, noise level very reasonable. The build plate is amazing - the model is stuck like glue when the plate is hot but when it cools it just lifts off easily - no scraping needed. If only every 3d printer had one of these... The not so good: My example had slightly convex build plate making levelling difficult. Traced it down to the guide rod mounts not being square to the plate, easy to fix if you look online. Maybe cause by being dropped during transit? although it was very well packed. I had an intermittent fault with the filament motor feed. Anycubic sent me new drivers and this fixed the issue. Why 5 stars you may ask? Well any 3d printer can have a fault, it's how the manufacturer deals with it that really matters. The support from Anycubic was first class with the new part arriving next day. This printer is exceptional value and fully deserves 5 stars

  • Great printer. Easy to set up and use. Would definitely recommend this company and this printer

This is a great printer, especially if you are new to 3d printing. It took me 10 minutes to unbox and set it up. There is only eight bolts to fasten the base to the frame and then a very easy levelling of the printer base. There is a very good manual supplied which contained all the instructions I needed and in no time I had printed my first item. I would definitely recommend this printer.

  • Very impressed

Easy to set up and excellent quality printing so far. Struggled a bit with the one overhang we’ve tried (the support collapsed), but it was a big ask. It’s our first 3D printer and I’d say it’s a really good entry level printer.
