    Great High Fidelity Through my Yamaha Receiver

    I'm using this Yamaha receiver as the control center for my high-end audio and my theater system. It's working better than expected. I have Jaton 801 speakers that are reasonably high-end. So I need a reasonably high-end audio system driving them. The most sensitive part of my system is a Rega Planar 3 P3 turntable with an Ortofen MC Cadenza Red cartridge. The Yamaha supports moving-magnet cartridges (the most common). For my more sensitive moving-coil cartridge I'm using a Music Hall pa2.2 MM/MC phono preamplifier. Here's the Yamaha's prowess: I can play my vinyl with the phono pre-amp connected directly to my power amp or I can pass it through the Yamaha using "Pure Direct". I cannot discern a difference between these paths. Plus the Yamaha interface and wand are easy to use. (I cannot say any of this about the Sony it replaced.) What more do I need to say? It's from Yamaha.

    This is awesome stereo. I haven’t had the chance too total set up the sound in it yet cause I only have 4 speakers but I do have another one like it that I use in my house and it sounds great. So until I get the rest of the speakers can’t say much
