USB card reader
I needed a card reader to transfer photos taken on my digital camera over to my PC. There were certainly a lot to choose from but I opted for this one partly because of cost and partly because it seemed ideal for my purpose and could be stored easily due to it's size. I'm very happy with the device. The transfer rate is good and my data is intact after transfer. I also have the option of using it to read data from many different card types including the popular SD and Micro SD formats among others. cheap flash memory card reader
Its very basic but look at the price.The slots the memory card goes in are a bit imprecise and at first I didn't think it worked.They're naff to be honest.the lead connecting power source doesn't go all the way in so also not a good fit. It's small and neat, could fit in your pocket.Delivery was prompt. I needed a card reader quickly and it looked good value.I will probably buy a better quality one that transfers big file sizes quickly at a later date. Card slots should be labelled
My only real issue is that its not clear what slot is for what card. It works for micro SD & XD Photo and the slot on the back (the one with two rows of pins) might be for a ST1 mini disc drive, but I can't say for certain (the similar ST1.2 drive doesn't fit). Lightweight, quick to set up
Lightweight little box, as all these readers tend to be. Simple set-up, just push in the micro-USB lead and plug into computer USB slot. Note that it needs to be pushed firmly in, before the little red Access light comes on. The card slots aren't labelled, to be fair there isn't much room on the device to add labelling; but a little printed diagram would have been handy. As it is, we only tend to use SD cards so not a problem. Device connected to computer and displayed all files on SD card with no difficulty.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap for type of product
Found to install on computer difficult install cards could do with instruction on which way to fit card properly as cards would not install in slot in supposed direction did find would read on computer but very slow and sometimes would not read cards and does not seem to communicate with programs installed on computerVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lightweight, compact and suits our requirements
