Most dependable shaver I have ever used.
The Braun shavers are the only ones that I have never been unhappy with. They fit my needs perfectly, and the rechargeable batteries last a very long time. In fact, I have never had the batteries in my Braun shavers die off. I keep them for many years, and when I upgrade to a newer model Braun, the battery is always still going strong. The cleaning fluid system works great as long as I cap the fluid container as soon as the shaver is fully cleaned and charged. Poor Quality
This one with soft plastic packaging seem to be of poor quality. I started using it for 2 weeks and it start to feel rough on the skin as if it used for months. I prefer the one with hard plastic package. Not planning to purchase the soft package anymore even if the price is good. Braun Series 5 Blade Performance 7 Life
I have gone through 4 sets of these on my razor now. They cut like a dream for the first few months then gradually lose their edge. Eventually after about 18 months you can expect the foil to break down (pieces break out of the field on the screen exposing the blade) then it will nip you when shaving. Thus you can reasonably expect 1.5 years of life. Considering the cost of traditional razors this screen cost about $0.04 per shave which is significantly cheaper. Even at 18 months it still cuts close but just takes more time, passes across your face to get the same effect as a new blade.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I have been using the same electric razor for the past 12 years. The only things I had to change out is the foil head of razor and the cleaning solution. Both were reasonably priced and easy to order. Since the razor gives me a replace foil light on the razor I always have a foil head on stand by. I pop it in and charge my razor and ensure the head is clean to as always receive the very best shave I have ever had. Works fine on my older 360 Series 5. I wish it came with a clear plastic guard as I lost mine years ago. I believe this is the newer model replacement. There have been at least 2-3 changes over the years as new ownership came and went. Different color center strips, hole patterns, and blade manufacturing style. I don't know if this newest one is any better or worse than earlier generations. Every 18 Months ?
Braun recommends the replacement of the shaver head and cutter every 18 months. That is a non starter for me. I have a light beard and I rotate shavers every month or so. The Braun is now more than 5 years old and I am on the 3rd replacement head. The new head makes the razor work like new.
