I just turned 28, I've never had bad skin or any significant amount of acne, so this probably isn't your typical review for an acne wash. About 3-4 months ago I started getting awful acne on my forehead, but nowhere else on my face. Large pimples, blackheads, a lot of reddening, it all looked like it'd scar and I thought that for whatever reason my skin had taken a turn for the worse, and I'd never look the same again. I'm not being melodramatic here, It was noticeable, I'd have conversations with people and I'd catch them starring then quickly shifting their eyes back down. The pimples were very large and would hurt while idle. I stopped going out, I lost my confidence, and since I had never had bad acne, I had no idea what to do. I did a little bit of online research and found out about this product, and I honestly feel like it saved me. All the acne is gone but what i worried me the most was the reddening. I figured that since I had never had bad acne it was just a reaction to something I was taking or doing that I hadn't been doing before. I knew I could change things up and probably control the acne, but I wasn't sure if the reddening would go away, It looked permanent. It only took this stuff about 3 weeks. Like a lot of the other reviews mention, you'll break out at first, but it was significantly less than I was expecting. My face is completely clear, not a single blemish or pimple, no reddening left. I feel like I got my face and skin back. Turns out (to the best of my knowledge, and because I cut out several different I things I thought could be the culprit one by one) it was a local supermarket brand moisturizer I was using. When I put it on my face I always started with my forehead. I'm not sure if I was allergic to something in the moisturizer or if I was just clogging up my pores, but I've since stopped using it completely. A lot of the reviews I read mentioned how this dries out your skin, which is true, you can feel how dry your skin is after using this, so I went with another high rated moisturizer. CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion, look it up. I paired the two and got great results. This was a long winded review, and reading back it kind of sounds like BS, so let me clarify that neither of these companies paid me anything. I hadn't heard of either of these before, I hadn't really needed them, but what I had for however short an amount of time was pretty bad. I've had close friends with acne, when it's bad, it's noticeable, and my forehead looked absolutely awful. I'm ranting now, but this stuff really works. I can't tell you that if you've had bad skin your entire life that this will change things for you, but I can honestly say that my skin was absolutely awful and this stuff cleared it right up in no time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
