Too short
This was specifically described as being long enough to use with the Vitamix's large 64 oz pitchers. This tamper is too short to reach all the way to the blade. I bought this to replace an original Vitamix tamper and there is a marked difference in length. Perfect Plunger for Purée
If you're like us, from time to time you don't put the lid on your VitaMix and try to use your plunger (apparently some sort of delusion that you won't touch the blades) but you do and your plunger is now full of holes. I've purchased several more expensive VitaMix plungers then I saw this one for a fraction of the cost so I took a gamble. I have been very pleased with these plungers. Plastic shouldn't cost an arm and a leg and these are inexpensive yet very well designed and effective. I really liked the shape of the plunger (different from the VitaMix plunger) which helps move the mix through the blender. Bottom line: BOOM! A Vita Mix Game Changer
Man I have had my Vita Mix for years and use it often. Then one day I saw a video on making my own peanut butter. Now if you have ever bought Organic peanut butter you know it cost... Well with this tamper tool you can mix anything and not have to add liquid to help it mix. You just tap the stuff down into the blades and thats it. Tamper is about 1.5" shorter than the factory Vitamix Tamper but works...
To make green shakes its fine but when making nut butter then you have to put at least 6 cups of nuts into the Vitamix to use the tamper because 4 cups of nuts(the normal amount i use) is just to low to tap.
