Best for the type ever made. So far.
This isn't exactly an EDC multi tool. All the things are inside. It saves weight and size by being simpler while having better tools. Every tool locks, and has a double "lock" if you close it up to use. Great for safety and space saving when the ninja whip outs aren't important. It's awesome as backup for emergency kits. Wish they would put in the bit driver to replace the phillips. Same width and shorter, even with a combo bit. They could then sneak in the small scissors like on the Squirt (or something even better) to replace the larger flat head. Lose the lanyard ring if need be. Probably cheaper overall and has more user options. No need for everything to be fast access here, that defeats the purpose. Quality, utility, and safety are increased with reduced size and weight. After having the 300 supper tool. I find the Rebar Multi Tool a little small. I would not of thought that it would have made a difference but it does... The tool work well and it does most of the work I need to but the different size make it feel light weight in my hand... The qualty is there and it is what I would expect from Leatherman. Multi tool, Leatherman, lightweight with super features
The Leatherman Rebar is a nice lightweight multi tool and somewhat compact. It has a great lock system so the tool or knife stays in place while used and easy to retract the tool or knife when finished using it. I have five other Leatherman multi tools and have them in my tool box. I will use the Rebar as my EDC because it is lightweight and the nylon sheath is handy too.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Perfect size, quality and versatility.
I have some other Leatherman (Wave, Micra, Squirt PS4 and in the past a Wingman) but the REBAR is a great multi-tool with an old school design. The selection of tools it contains, are ideal for performing tasks at home and outdoors. Its size, quality and versatility make the Leatherman Rebar a purchase worth every penny. As a recommendation and if you want to have scissors, you can accompany it with a MICRA which you can include in your keychain and your REBAR in your pocket or sheath. The design of the Rebar makes recall the first models that take to the production Tim Leatherman. So if you are a fan of classic multi-tools with accessibility to internal tools, you will really like the Rebar.

Evolution of the Leatherman PST
The PST was Tim Leatherman's first multi-tool and is still much sought after today. However, most of the user's want more [maybe that's just Americans], but the Rebar is only slightly larger, but offers more torque and features than all but the biggest of Leatherman's line. Perfect multi-tool
I bought my first leatherman in eastern Oregon in 1993. I have owned one ever since. Leatherman is the best of its kind, hands down. I personally like the Rebar the best -- all the most important tools, no gimmicks. What you really need is all there and it is all really good. That's how I like it. Great value.
