Reviews4 stars out of 5 -- "'Two Magpies' is a mouth-watering slice of homegrown 'Honey Pie,' while 'Lifelong Passion' sounds like he's pulled over on George Harrison's 'Blue Jay Way.'", 3 stars out of 5 -- "With 'Lifelong Passion' and 'Don't Stop Running,' tracks that make the best of McCartney's crystalline vocals and co-producer Youth's way with texture and sound.", "This one studs its chilled-out world-beat electronica with pretty psych-folk melodies, propulsive rock grooves, and McCartney's raw 'Helter Skelter'-ish vocals." -- Grade: B+, 3.5 stars out of 5 -- "ARGUMENTS follows its own fuzzy logic from swamp blooze to haunted folk to anthemic guitar pop.", "It's the first Fireman album to include McCartney's vocals. And with his voice on 'Electric ARguments' comes a much more diverse, song-based, pop/rock-oriented approach...", 4 stars out of 5 -- "The set peaks with 'Travelling Light,' a magical mystery tour of reverbed chants, slide-guitar swoops, kalimbas and chimes. It's freak folk by a forefather."

  • Paul McCartneys Hidden Gem

This album was issued a decade ago under the working guise of ‘Firemen’ a project between Paul McCartney and ‘Youth’.. the end results are splendid. Several of the tracks sound very much like upbeat McCartney numbers, mostly of very high quality. There’s also several more ambient tracks which creates a totally different feel than you would normally associate with a Paul McCartney release. Not really a bad track on it, and several that are top drawer. Nicely packaged with a 3fold digi-pac sleeve and a substantial booklet enclosed. Highly recommended as Paul McCartney continues to shine at this point of his long and illustrious career.

  • Excellent music.

Exceptionally good CD from Paul McCartney and Youth. I really enjoyed the style, which is different from McCartney's mainstream CDs.
