Excellent compact and professional multitool!
I bought this "multitool" for work being an industrial electrician! We really put tools through their paces and they get transported across sites everyday, full of dust, grit, dirt and moisture!!! Good old "Dewalt" never lets the side down, the brushless motor works effortlessly well, it is quick and always completes a neat, tidy, professional job, which is exactly what we require!!! The XR type batteries work well too, power draw is about right depending on what you are cutting through! The multitool is fairly light, balanced well, operates easily along with handy grip controls and trigger! It is perfect for our trade, does what it says on the tin and gets you out of all kinds of situations at work (and also great at home, I am refurbishing my bungalow so a good friend in the toolbag). I would say to everyone who wants one, have a crack at this compact Dewalt multitool, which will be a reliable, strong and trustworthy accessory for you!! Up there with the very best battery tools!
Been migrating over to XR 18 volt tools for the past year. Drill, impact driver, circular and jig saw now this. They share the same batteries (I have 3 5ah and one 2ah) and charger with long use. I’m not a pro so am not using all day long so the setup is perfect for me. Fast charging and full power right to the end of charge. Completely reliable throughout the range and 3 year warranty. Versatile wire free tool
Uses all Dewalt XR batteries, i use both 2ah and 5ah XR batteries from the DC115 charger. Uses all ‘quick lock’ attachments but also the old style too with attached fitting. If you have other Dewalt gear , I have a drill , then it saves on unnecessary additional charger, batteries etc they mix and match, plus being cordless your untethered to the mains allowing going up ladders without that old extension cable, Great purchase and great DeWalt quality. Well made Easy to use
I boight this to replace corded version I have had for a few years. The quick blade change is very useful. The lack of any cord makes is easy to use. The variable trigger is very good and provides fine control. The only negative is the bulk of the head( fulcrum of the blade change mechanism) results in been further away from the work piece. Multi tool.
I use this tool for alsorts. This one was actually for my father as he was impressed too. Blades can blunt quick if used for the wrong material. The actual tool itself is so versatile, I use it for trimming under door frames when laminating and trimming back reveals when drylining. I used the tile adhesive/grout stripper attachment for my latest tiling project. The sander is good for awkward detail also. Variable speed is on the actual trigger unlike the makita equivalent, the dewalt also feels better in hand as the body isn't as bulky as the makita.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
