Lots of Fixes = Lots of Fun!
I must confess...after reading everything about Anthem, I was skeptical and waiting for a deep sale before purchase. Glad I did. As of the date/time of this writing, I am really enjoying the game. Always been an Ironman fan. Anthem seem to operate a lot in the same manner...but on a less...superhero level and more of a desperate fight for your life type of scenario. The gameplay is pretty solid and the graphics can be breathtaking. Really. You could spend hours just in free-roam flying around and meeting other players doing "open world" random events or just farming crafting materials. Some of my friends who are older players say they quit Anthem because of the bugs from launch. Trust me...just about all of them were fixed with the latest (early) August 2019 update which includes the cataclysms. Before this, I was getting some of the older reported disconnects and level issues with either getting stuck or glitchy movement. There is still a small bug where if you go into your menu in open world...this could cause an issue. But I was able to remedy this by re-entering my menu and then exiting again. Didn't have to quit the game or re-start my PS4. Of course, your results may vary. Overall...*(and I never thought I would be saying this) - after the latest update, I do recommend Anthem. To all the older players who played Anthem BEFORE the cataclysm update - come back and check it out. Worth a look if nothing else. My online friend Rose came back and she was shocked at all that has changed and plays with me online often now. There is a new seasonal store with the Cataclysm update and new emotes, skins, etc. She and I both are having a blast with it. In closing, if you [like me] are one of those players who were either skeptical or waited to try Anthem, NOW is the time to strike. Sales for this game and just about everywhere you look - even for the Legion of Dawn Edition which includes extras.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
