Decent transfer of a flawed masterpiece.
You aren’t going to get an HD copy of this cult classic. This is as reasonable a copy as I have seen. I really want a longer cut of this film, which was slashed to ribbons by the studio. Michael Mann’s visuals and Tangerine Dreams score, plus a great cast. All butchered by terrible editing post production. A cult classic in every sense.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The Keep on DVD
I wasn't expecting much, to be honest. It is well-known the director and Paramount have no plans to revisit this film for official DVD or Blu-ray release, so I wasn't sure how this version on DVD would look. It is a perfectly acceptable transfer from presumably VHS (it could be a film print) to DVD and is not second-rate it any way. If you - like me - are fed up waiting for it to be aired on TV or Netflix again, this will do very nicely for now.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
