Still and excellent all around music workstation
Pros: The Kurzweil K2661 is a formidable all around tool for both studio and gigging musician. I owned one in the past and just had to go back to it again. The construction and materials are sturdy, yet not too heavy for the road with the right case. Lots of control with the drawbars and optional ribbon controller. The draw bars offer plenty of control for me as I like to use them to transition in and out of different degrees of effects, especially with rock organ sounds. The manual is pretty thorough and at this point there are plenty of helpful videos from the user community. Navigating is practical due to the screen layout and menus. It is not a colorful touchscreen, but it is simple to understand. The sound library and sound creation is legendary. It is packed full of quality features requiring more time than I have to offer in this review without the expected cost. It is also highly expandable with legendary sampling and externally routable effects processing capabilities. An excellent overall value. Cons: It can be slightly more complicated to get started with if you've never experienced a professional workstation before.
