Nice color laser printer for home use
Very easy to set up on my home network so everyone in the family can use it. Excellent print quality. Also love that it has a built in scanner. Toner is a reasonable price if you check around, don't HAVE to buy Canon brand. Not User Friendly or Functional
Purchased this printer/copier for home use, as it seemed a good buy. It was easy to setup, size and weight was comparable to others in the line up. It prints nicely and does not take forever. Now, as for advanced setup and management, there really is none. Being an IT pro, i work with these types of machines often. You cannot print any reports of any kind, none that i found. Any info you want is not easy to find, and if you do get it its only on the display. Menu structure is clunky, no easy to navigate. In many ways its just like the cheap inkjets you buy at the big boxes. I wouldn't recommend this product for anyone who wants to do more than copy and print. I still am unable to scan simply, copy easily or fax normally. I cannot seem to find how to modify the address book besides the small display and buttons. Steer clear as the support has banker hours so you will need a day off during the week to talk to a foreigner. i would actually say HP would be a better unit and im anti HP.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Installing and setting up
This is my first Laser printer and my first Canon. I’ve always purchased HP prior to this one. Not as easy as HP to set up. Although the instructions are specific they should be more automated. Print quality is exceptional however the cost of the laser ink toner is out of site costly when compared to ink jet. Not sure pp cost will break out yet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Troublesome to set up and use.
This printer has faulty drivers installed by default, so each time you add a computer there's settings to mess with, and if the person printing doesn't have a specific paper selected which is not the default it fails. Also each time it wakes up it does various systems checks and takes forever. Overall this printer is not worth the cost.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Awesome printer! The only thing this printer didn't do is take my old printer to the recyclers! SO.. the setup disc did it all. It prints and scans wirelessly from my Windows 10 computer and my iPad with not extra effort on my part. The print quatity is great and it scans and prints both sides.
