    Works for me

I have used this to turn my Honda Pan European around in the garage. I could only get it onto the stand by using a block under the back wheel (after which it's easy) and once on it is fine. I apply the brakes to the castors while getting the bike on and off. My garage has a smooth concrete floor, if it didn't I expect it wouldn't be so easy to wheel about as the castors aren't huge. And what people say about the rubber mat is true. Also, it's a bit expensive but it's better than a lazy susan turntable which would only work if absolutely central in the garage and with the dolly I can move the bike to the side to create more room.

Think twice before you buy! Consider what bike you want to use on it

I bought this thinking it would be perfect for moving my bikes around on concrete floor of my garage. I have four bikes and tried on all of them. Yamaha x max 500cc step through. Well it went on the dolly OK but the bike is front heavy so I could move back end but can't move bike sideways. Kawasaki gpx 750 similar prob but will move sideways if you have strong arms to balance bike. Honda pan European st1100, not a chance! I tried everything to get this on dolly including a winch to pull bike back and up. With all the wheels on dolly bracked and wedged the dolly just skids on the rubber wheels along floor making the whole thing quite dangerous. The only bike that worked well on dolly was my little gs125! Sadly I can pick that up by hand and move anyway. Given up with it and will look at the full length dolly with side stand support.

  • Sturdy piece of kit

Feels a good solid well made piece of kit. Works well once the bike is on, great way to make the best of a confined space and useful when cleaning the bike. Putting my bike on the center stand on the mover however takes some force to the point where it hurts your foot unless you have the strongest soled boots on.The grippy rubber surface on the mover starts to rip off in no time and I find that putting the brakes on and off on each of the movers wheels can be awkward to get to at times. But other than those minor points I would recommend one it just makes storing the bike neatly by a garage wall so easy.

  • Useful piece of equipment

Many reviews indicated difficulty hoisting the bike onto the dolly. I have a Suzuki 1250 Bandit GT which is no lightweight. I had to carefully locate the main stand feet to stop the main stand foot lug hitting the raised lug that support the casters. Once that was done I had no real problem hauling the bike onto the dolly. Now very easy to move the bike around.

  • Good piece of kit

Dolly appears to be well made! I have a garage on a slope and use it to drive in and turn a heavy (265kg) bike 180 degrees in order to ride safely out. Small castor wheels means your floor needs to be fairly smooth, mine is uneven concrete therefore the dolly wheels tend to get stuck in the ruts in the floor. Also due to operation of my centre-stand I have to raise the bike up by approx. 30mm by riding onto blocks in order the dolly is then at the equivalent of ground height when pulling onto centre-stand. May not apply to all bikes. I also have a block for the side stand to ensure bike remains safe prior to placing bike on the dolly just in case dolly slides before bike completely loaded.

  • Solid construction

Works very well once you've mastered the technique with your own bike. Wheel brake levers need lubrication to allow easy, free movement. Simple squirt with WD40 sorts that. The rubber 'anti-slip' matting takes a bit of a hammering from the centre stand and tears up easily. Difficult to know what would prevent that to be honest and it hasn't affected the performance thus far. Quite expensive, but you need a solid, reliable construction, so I guess you have to pay for it. If you need to spin a heavy bike 180 degrees, or simply move it around awkward spaces e.g. into the corner of a garage against a wall, then this is the tool for the job. I have moved well in excess of 230 kg. Recommended. One star deducted for the matting and cost.

  • Works well through my garden gateway!

Bought this product to enable me to get my bike out of my back garden. The process requires turning the bike through 90° through a gateway, it does the job well, however it remains to be seen if the wheels stand up to the constant and repeated stress. If spare wheels are available this would save replacing the unit if the wheels fail.

  • BikeTek Garage Dolly

I have a small garage and minimal room on my driveway with a small gap between the car and house. This dolly allows me to spin my bike around so that I don't have to reverse it through the small gap or do awkward 3 point turns. Reduces the risk of dropping my bike significantly. It also allows me to tuck the bike into the corner of the garage out of the way and out of danger from stray garden tools etc. One star off for fiddly brakes, but would definitely recommend. Makes life so much easier.

  • Small bloke puts big bike on garage dolly!

I read the reviews before purchasing and knew that getting my Bonneville (236kg) on this dolly would require strength or ingenuity. At 5’ 6” I don’t pack a big punch but other reviewers solve the ingenuity side of things perfectly. Having ridden the back wheel up onto a block popping the bike on the centre stand on the dolly was a tad easier than normal. (I need to make a small ramp now to do the job) The dolly is impressively heavily engineered. The wheels run well on my admittedly smooth concrete garage floor and the bike goes where it’s told after a bit of training. Two things to be aware of. The brakes on the wheels work ok but it’s a good idea to face the wheels so they don’t swivel as you try to put the bike up and for Bonneville owners, the centre stand ends up a bit more vertical than normal as the front wheel is comparatively low. This is not an issue so long as you are aware you need to take it steady when moving forward otherwise the bike ends up back on both wheels and you have to put it back on the dolly again. I like this bit of kit, it allows me to turn the bike round and slide it out of the way in a relatively small bike garage. It’s probably a bit more expensive than some others but it’s hefty and feels good quality all round. I can’t see it bending anytime soon.

  • Good quality, needs ramp.

It is good quality and feels solid, but I cannot get my bike, Honda 1200 crosstourer, on it, I have had to make a ramp for the rear wheel so as to raise it the extra height of the trolley.
