Time Will Tell
Really good solid parasol base just what I needed. I live in a rural area and the outlook is very open. As such high winds can occur and I needed a parasol base that could take that kind of factors. This is one of the heaviest bases I have come across and to date has taken everything that the wind can throw at it. I have however only given it four stars at the moment because it has not gone through a winter yet. As the base weight is concrete I need to be certain it can stand freezing conditions without cracking. Lightweight portable parasol stand
Perhaps okay for a very small parasol and it's clearly very portable but it is not a heavy duty base. The item weighs less than 1kg so I'm not sure why one of the other reviewers said it would need two people to lift to set up as it's approximately just 800g. The hole would fit a parasol that's up to 1.8m probably but if it was to work effectively, you'd probably need to add weight or use it within a table set up so it won't blow over. It does compact down and would be light enough to carry to a beach. I had purchased it for a large 3m parasol given how strong and heavy it sounds by the description and reviews but this does not fit in the hole. I'd also not feel confident using it for my 1.8m parasol now that I've felt the weight. Obviously other people love this, my personal opinion is that it's pretty flimsy and hence I am returning it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
