Genuine Huawei product, feels great.
The case is a genuine product and come in Huawei blister packaging, which is a good sign. The overall feel of the case is lightweight and very slim line in its design, made to a high standard as you would expect from Huawei for a case destined to be used with their flagship mobile phone of 2018. It functions with the phone as expected, when you flip the case open the phone wakes up, ready for face unlock or fingerprint scan on the glass screen, so far so good. However I dropped my phone with the case closed while at work, and the phone landed on the hard concrete floor, with a sharp noise of the gorilla glass 5 screen impacting the floor, which very much surprised me. As I was expecting the case to stay shut with some kind of built in magnet in the case. Unfortunately this case does not stay shut, and if you are unlucky like me if it happens to tumble and land screen side first then it is game over. Lovely slim case with functional lityle window, however in my case there is no magnet to keep the case closed. So it has lost a star, and will be relegated to backup case status when I purchase one that stays shut to protect the phone and screen. Sorry Huawei I cannot recommended this product.

Disappointed with Huawei Mate 20 pro case
Having bought the "official" flip case for my new Huawei Mate 20 pro (as O2 didn't have anything available to sell with upgrade) I received it to find I can't watch Netflix/SkyGo etc without propping it up as it literally just has a flap that opens and closes (dubious that it would provide any protection to the screen if it flew open should you drop it etc) Design faults also include that it doesn't stay closed and keeps pinging open + the front window panel that shows you phone info such as calls/texts etc is visible for all of 5 seconds before it disappears.

Disappointing for a case designed by the manufacturer.
Whilst the phone fits perfectly it doesn't inspire confidence that it'll offer much protection as its quite a flimsy case made from thin plastic. The 'smart' function isn't great either, it shows the time and offers a caller display function but little else. There are no other notifications. It looks very nice but ultimately it's style over substance.

Quality slim case which wakes phone on opening
Easy to clean slim case,not slippy, feels nice to hold. Phone wakes on opening and you don't need to open front to answer a call. If you dropped the phone the case isn't very `padded' on the corners so it could get damaged but IMO its worth the risk with this case.
