black stove cream
This is an excellent product. I was told I would have to use stove paint to freshen up my log burner. I wasn't looking forward to having to paint it as I thought it would be difficult to get into all the nooks and crannies. However, I had seen this type of cream used on a television programme and it looked so easy to use. I found it on ebay and am very happy with it. Not only is it cheap to buy, you don't have to use a lot to cover the log burner and it just rubs on and then you buff it up to get the shine. I've got loads left to freshen up my log burner for many years to come.

Beautiful finish

What a difference this product made to my Victorian Fireplace
Having spent hours stripping 4 layers of paint off, washing it down to clean the paint stripper the cash iron fireplace rusted up. I read these reviews and gave it a go. I used a micro bore cloth and a soft tooth brush to get into detailed area's. After leaving for 20 minutes to dry I removed the excess and polished off with a clean cloth. Economy with Great Results
We cleaned two gas fire stands and found a few surface rust spots on the cast iron front pieces and on the tin surrounds. We tried the cleaner and found that we acheived great results . We only had to use about a 1cm long paste extrusion from the tube on to a cotton rag and it covered more than a square foot of work area.
