  • Good quality, easy to use battery powered nail gun by Ryobi

having owned as used many Ryobi 18v 1+ battery tools, and having been happy with their function and performance, - it is no surprise that my new 18g Nailer exceeded expectations. Works really well, so far reliable, with good range of adjustment and features. No compressors or hoses, and no gas cartridges to buy. A good and useful tool. Having made up garden trellis panels from 500 metres of wood, it has made a great difference to time and effort required. The ability to secure quite delicate mouldings to wood without damage and splitting is another bonus.

  • I’m nailing anything that moves

I absolutely love this thing, having wanted one for a long time but never feeling I could justify the huge costs of most other branded nail guns I saw this and as I have many other Ryobi one + tools I thought I’d get it....... and I’m so pleased I did, I’ve not stopped nailing things since I got it, you name it and I’ve nailed it! In fact I’ve even started taking screws out of things just to nail them. That satisfying sound it makes when you press the trigger makes this thing feel like it should cost twice the price. If you’re in the market for home DIY and don’t have one of these then you’re not living your best life, get one and be happy just like me.

  • Ryobi nailer

Bought this to replace a gas nailer which was malfunctioning, so having looked round I didn't want to spend too much I came across this one going on other reviews I purchased it . I have been very impressed hasn't missed a beat so far ,18 gauge nails are a lot finer and are more useful to me in work that I do I bought a battery adaptor for DeWalt batteries as I have a lot of them and it works fine .its maximum nail length is 50 mm I was a bit worried as my previous nailer was 63 mm but I realised I very rarely used 63mm so was happy with. It's specification .overall very happy

  • Value nail gun that gets the job done.

Bought for a project so had a budget to stick to. This nail gun has surprised me with the quality of the plastic and the number of features at this price point. It compares with other brands costing more than double the price. Air pressure adjustment with fine tuning of the depth gives perfect results across a range of materials and being cordless makes it easy to get into corners and tight spaces. I have used it on plywood, architrave and flooring trim with brads ranging from 15mm to 40mm and it has been a real time saver. Good battery life, I use 4.0ah, and the lights on the front give a clear view in dark corners. I would recommend this nail gun for a DIYer/hobby woodworker.

  • A new brad nail gun user

I’m a DIY woodworker and this tool has changed the way I approach projects, this is my first nail gun and I’m using my makita batteries via an adapter. It’s working really well and the results are impressive, it’s very easy to use and saves time. This is good value for money tool which hopefully I’ll get plenty of use from, I bought a selection of Brad nails as I wasn’t sure what size I would use the most.

  • Great gun for the price

One of the cheaper nail guns but excellent value for the DIYer - i am renovating my house and i have used it almost non stop over the last few weeks and it seems up to the task (for 2nd fix work). Only downside is Ryobi don't sell an angled version, i have had trouble getting this into corners but it's workable and it saved me £200 odd quid over a gas one and you don't need to worry about running out of gas. Only real downside is it's a bit heavier than the other brands i have used in the past from hire shops.

  • Decent value and easy to use

Much cheaper than equivalents from brands like Makita, but works fantastically well. Decent adjustability and the no tool jam clearing will be very useful if and when I get a jam. Good run time from a 5 Ah battery.

  • It is a delight to use this 18g Nailer.

It is of quality build, works really well with all size brads. Very reasonably priced, compared to other makes, easy to use and not had any jam ups yet (after approx. 600 brads). I use it mainly in glue ups of hardwood frames. It is also quite light compared to other battery powered 18 gauge nailers. It has made my work much easier, no more hammering panel/moulding pins in. YESSSSSS.

  • Ryobi's Masterpiece

A powerful, well poised piece of kit, built using some novel design. Plenty of punch to drive 50mm 18g brads home in marine ply yet refined enough to drive 16mm brads into obeche mouldings. Driving 100's of brads hardly dents the battery's capacity. The nailer is simple to operate (once you are aware of its safety features) and has a "lockout" preventing you firing the last 3 or 4 brads. This lockout is a deliberate (and thoughtful) feature preventing "dry firing", though some mistakenly see it as a flaw of the machine. Used carefully, this machine will last for 100,000 + brads. Follow the instructions with respect to cleaning and maintenance. DO NOT use oil based lubricants (such as WD40) etc as the oil will destroy the buna O-rings. When the time comes, the wear mechanism causing failure will the o-rings. Easily replaced by anyone handy with machinery and lightly lubricated with silicone grease.. Well packaged, brand new item (manufactured in last quarter 2017) arrived on time..
