It does what it says on the tin
This is very hard to get hold of in the shops in Worcester, so I was very pleased to be able to buy it here. I am actually using in for art work and not for DIY, so I can't say what it is like for what it was meant to do, but it works very well with the paints I am using (acrylics) for the type of art I am working on. Not as good as I expected.
I bought this to add to some water based paint that I was using to paint a kitchen end panel. I had some colour matched paint made up but it was drying too fast and leaving brush/roller/pad marks in the finish. I'd expected this to increase the flow rate so that it would allow the paint to flatten out. I added the maximum recommended amount to the paint and even tried adding some water to thin it down. Good stuff!
I have used this, for the first time, as a medium for flow painting with acrylics. It does the job well. All such products seem awfully expensive so it is hard to judge whether it is good value. Floetrol for pouring
I had seen on the internet some had been using floetrol, so I thought I would try it. I wanted it because people had said it was very good for Acrylic pouring. They were right, it makes the paint move and settle much better. Unconventional use for this product to assist flow in acrylic pour art
I use this product to assist flow in mixes of acrylic paint for pouring artwork and as an additive when mixing acrylic paint. Very important to shake product before opening as instructed. Produces a lot of bubbles in the paint so important to mix well trying not to add air when mixing and let paint stand until bubbles subside a little. This Floetrol is excellent and an extra component which is required for good quality acrylic pouring art pieces. Overpriced but useful product
This product is the same as floetrol available widely in the US.
