The Ibanez AG95 Electric Guitar belongs to the Ibanez Expressionist line of hollow body electric guitars. The AG95 is known as the Artcore Expressionist, and the Ibanez AG95 features the expressionist three-piece mahogany and maple neck. The laminated three-piece set-in neck adds strength and durability to the entire instrument. The Artcore Expressionist’s body is made of figured bubinga on the top, back, and sides. These wood sections are accented on the seams by a striking, bright white pearl block material. The fretboard of this guitar is made of dark brown bound rosewood with acrylic block inlays and 22 medium-sized frets. Other accessories include an ART-1 bridge, VT06 tailpiece, and two stylized body cutaways. All of the hardware is finished in a gold tone with a shiny gloss finish. The bubinga wood is stained and polished to create a rich, dark, sunburst effect. This gives the instrument the timeless look of a traditional hollow body jazz or blues guitar. The Ibanez AG95 hollow body electric guitar is a true hollow body guitar that has no internal sound blocks. This, in effect, makes the Ibanez AG95 an acoustic electric. The added resonance of the hollow body generates a similar warmth and tone to fully acoustic guitars. The Artcore strings send vibrations down through the bubinga top, and the resonance generated is collected by the Super 58 pickups and delivered to your amps or mixing gear with full, clear fidelity. The configuration of the body interior and cutaway sections are precision tuned so the guitar maximizes each note. The smooth sounds and full bass tones make this guitar a piece of gear that is equally at home in the studio or on the stage. The Ibanez AG95 hollow body electric guitar generates a rich, warm tone through two Super 58 pickups positioned at the bridge and the neck. Each pickup is a Passive Alnico Super 58 (H). Switching lets the player create tone variations for changing music patterns by alternating between activated pickups at bridge pickup only, neck pickup only, or center, which activates both pickups. The combination of finely tuned hollow body and variable switched pickups allows the guitar to achieve a strong level of sustain. The Ibanez Artcore Expressionist guitar has a length of 18 7/8 inches, a width of 14 ½ inches at the widest body point, and a maximum depth of 3 5/8 inches. The neck radius is 305mm. The AG95 is a fine instrument made to look as good as it sounds.
