Easy to Setup and works pretty well.
These cameras are easy to set up and use. Video quality is good. The only drawback seems to be that with the free account it will only record a limited amount of video. It says that is will record 7 days but I also think there is a memory limit. If the cameras do a lot of recording they will stop recording until you delete the old videos. Works great even with the limitations. The phone app is also easy to use and nice to be able to see your cameras at any time. Good product. Functional, batteries last one month or so,
Had this for over a year, it has occasional issues that I attribute to Arlo firmware update issues but most of the time it is stable. Camera video quality is good actually and night vision is strong as I have seen skunks, foxes, faces clearly in dark. Picks up sound very very well, you can hear a convo from 20 ft away. I have only had one package stolen from me in the last three years and this missed it with TWO Arlo cameras watching my front step. It caught all the other activity but missed a block of two hours when the package was stolen. It typically will trigger but sometimes only when someone is walking away (it misses the entire motion of them walking up, why??). I used to think these were OK or above average but since two cameras missed the one and ONLY time a package was stolen I have to not recommend. Wish I would've purchased a Eufy...P.S. The base station uses the same wifi channel as your router by design causing all sorts of interference to your home network, Arlo/Netgear refuse to add an option to change Wifi Channel... *I use these with the Arlo solar panels and they stay in the 95% battery range most of the time* Batteries would probably last 3 weeks to a month without.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Distance
We bought this camera because they are easier to set up than other brands out there. Also, we needed a wider range (distance) for our garage, which is detached from our house. Other cameras are basically made for a short range and the Arlo Pro2 fits the bill for this. Also, the video on these cameras are super clear and precise. Why would you purchase a camera if the video is fuzzy? We have tried other security cameras, but came back to the Arlo for the reasons I mentioned above.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A great introduction to DIY home security
Arlo Pro cameras (midrange among the Arlo, Arlo Pro 2, and Arlo Ultra) aren't the cheapest home security cameras, but they're far from the most expensive, and they're very versatile. I bought this one as an add-on to my existing system, which started with a base station and two cameras. Each camera is IP65 weather resistant and has infrared LEDs for nighttime recording; batteries you can recharge via USB or with an external charger; pass-through for power from an AC outlet; complete control from anywhere that has internet access; and 2-way audio communication. The camera is mounted via an included magnetic mount, which is really strong. You can also use any third-party mounting system with a standard tripod thread connector. It's compatible with a variety of third-party software and systems like IFTTT, SmartThings, Stringify, Alexa, and Google Assistant. You can set each camera to record based on audio or motion detection, enable detection based on a schedule, or based on geofencing (when your cell phone leaves a specified GPS location). You can trigger a siren directly, or based on detection rules. You get free cloud storage of the past 7 days of triggered recordings (more if you subscribe), and you can attach USB devices to the base for automatic backup. Great camera and easy hook-up
Just as with other Arlo products pretty straightforward to install and get working. My only complaint as with the Arlo Pro Camera I purchased years back is Arlo includes a mount that is useless for ceiling mount applications. So I had to buy a 3rd party mount like I did for my Arlo Pro. For whatever reason the camera kept slipping down (pointing downward) so not sure if it's the mount or the camera. I have the same exact mount on my Arlo Pro and it never slips down so not sure why this Pro 2 is doing it. I put a tiny drop of Super Glue on it to keep it from slipping and that did the trick.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Wireless Camera
This is the fifth Arlo Pro camera I've bought for my home system. I bought the fifth one because the others have worked so great over the last year or so. Just wanted to cover another part of my home. The cameras are simple to set up and install, and the picture quality is good. The batteries last a fairly long time; it's just a function of how much activity they pick up, since they are motion activated. I bought the Arlo's in the first place because you don't have to pay a monthly fee for cloud storage, and I've never regretted that decision. You get a month's free storage with the Arlo cameras, and I've never needed more than that. Overall, I recommend the Arlo cameras highly. If you need better picture quality, get the ones with 1080p resolution. They are more expensive, of course. Great cameras that are easy to install and offer many features.
These arlo pro 2 1080p camera's are quite simple to install, configure, etc and they work very well. The best deals can be found on sets including the router, but good deals can be found for add on camera's later if you want to expand. Netgear gives you free storage for up to 5 cameras for 7 days, with additional via subscription. Supplying power to the camera adds better features/functionality. Batteries seem to last me around 3 months not the expected 6. It an ok product
The camera is good, except they say water proof & that’s not true without buying those sleeves to go on them. One of my cameras leaked inside & ruined the battery, which wasn’t very old.
