Canon EL100, excellent for small format DSLR cameras
The EL100 flashgun is ideal for use on Canon M and R series cameras and other small format DSLR cameras due to its compact size. In particular it is much better than using the 'built in' flash with these cameras where the lens fitted can occlude the flash from parts of the image, especially with close up shots. I have used the EL100 to good effect with bounce flash in close up shots and in photographing a 6m by 4m room. The small size of the EL100 enables it to be taken when shooting away from home when a larger unit, such as the 430 EXII would be too bulky. The article in the EOS magazine ( October to December 2020) is very useful in providing more information on the EL100 than the ridiculously brief instructions provided with the EL100. The only negative point is take care when returning the EL100 to its case as by doing so the unit can be inadvertently switched on.

A compact unit which is great for smaller indoor occasions and outside fill-in flash. Swivel head very useful. Control through my Canon R6 is quite straight forward.
