Pro's Highly customizable, high quality, functions as expected Con's HOTAS programming interface is not user friendly but without it you can only get 33% functionality of the buttons. The mode switch will only function for buttons bound to the keyboard through the HOTAS software meaning, if you use a game interface to set buttons, it will not register the mode button. Additionally if the same button is set in game and in the HOTAS software you will get both inputs at the same time. You will spend upwards of 20 hours setting up your HOTAS keybindings profile unless someone shares theirs with you. Youtube makes it doable, but not easy. Looks great
Looks great, thats all it has going for it. Hat switches and other knobs are sloppy, location of certain buttons could be better, The X52 Pro , on the other hand is excellent in all respects . all knobs and hat switches are constructed very well and in much better user friendly locations.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Logitech X56 HOTAS
Throttle is great, but the joystick isn't quite as good as the X52 due to the ergonomics even if it is a bit higher build quality and, well, the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 is a better joystick as it has vastly superior ergonomics and operation, but obviously the X56 has way more buttons. I only recommend the X56 over the X52 if you need the better throttle. Excellent joystick for a large hand.
Everything seems to work as advertised, and the look and feel both are excellent. My only quibble - and the reason for 4 stars rather than five - is that the stick was designed for a larger than average hand. Good mid-level joystick. Worth the money.
I've used Saitek joysticks since 2006 when I got my first X52. The X56 is a nice upgrade. The throttle and joystick both have good ergonomics, and are not too loose or too stiff when moving them.
