For an elder it's about as much tech as I care to manage but, boy, it is fun!
A wireless charging dock with a stand vastly increases the utility of all electonica. It's handy for cellular telephones but essential for the less wieldy tablets. Why the tablet needs such an attachment to achieve the wireless charging feature is a point to ponder. Be sure that when your wireless charging attachment is affixed be sure the miniUSB is engaged to the tablet and that the tablet is aligned with the charging contacts on the stand. I would never pay full price for this dock;but I really like it!

Works well and saves the charging port.
This stops the wear on the charging port socket. In my opinion all USB ports should offer something like this. It also keeps the charge up while using the stand to view anything. It does make the tablet thicker and harder for small hands to grasp, but no more than most drop protection would. Good choice for my kitchen cookbook holder.
Reasonably good alternative to the echo Show devices. Sound is much more tin'ie', but use of the tablet for browsing helps to make that acceptable. Dock is a WFH winner!
Adding the Show Mode Charging Dock took my Fire HD10 from shelved afterthought to a place of honor in my WFH office-in-my-dining room. When I first read about Show Mode, I figured it would be useful. Constant charge and constant mobility.
It maintains a charge on the tablet at all times yet, it is untethered from the power cord and has 100% mobility at all times. You do not need to worry about wearing out the power plug on the tablet. Just plug it in once to the clip-on back panel and forget it. Every time you set it back into its cradle, it charges automatically. The tablet can be on 24/7 and it will stay charged at all times. Neat little gadget
Some of you may question the necesity of it, since you can youplug your fire into te Micor USB Port. However ACCY Z10 is also a stand, very useful, multi angle, folding flat.
