Great replacements for my expired APC BX1400Ui UPS batteries
The two batteries on my APC BX1400Ui UPS died. Although these UPS batteries are not supposed to be replaced (you are supposed to just recycle the entire unit!!), it's actually easy to do (and there are lots of YouTube videos that explain how). I purchased two of the NP7-12L as replacements and they were less than one-third the price of the APC equivalent, and far less than the cost of replacing the entire unit. Be careful as there is also a NP7-12 variant of the Yuasa battery which has smaller connectors (4.8mm) and these are too small for the APC BX1400Ui connectors which are a 6.3mm connection. Also be aware that the original APC battery looks like it is a 12V, 9Ah battery whereas the Yuasa is 12V, 7A so you will get a slightly shorter run-time out of the UPS, but for me the cost saving more than makes up for this. As to longevity of the battery only time will tell, but assuming I can get three years I will be pleased.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Too early to make sensible comments - ask in 5 year's time!
It is the best known brand for this type of battery and therefore I assume the the quality is good. Without doing controlled tests it is impossible to judge important factors such as lifetime. I bought this battery for my Home security alarm. This company has been in the business for a very long time and its reputed to have good product credentials. The one that was fitted before by the security installers did not last very long. It was cheap and had no makers name on the battery. Worth buying.
Wary of fake cheap batteries, I bought this "genuine" Yuasa, a name I know from buying motorcycle batteries în the past. Used in a child's electric motorcycle it has performed well. Truly lovely batteries
I've been aked to write about this battery. What is there to say about a battery ? It gives out the most lovely volts, at least 12 of them, and it claims to have 7 amps for at least an hour It is truly a thing of great beauty and I couldn't resist buying a pair of them so they would have some company for each other. Does what it should
Two years ago I bought a cheap battery to replace the battery in my Celestron telescope power pack. That battery lasted two years only so this time I decided to get a decent quality one and Yuasa batteries are at the top of the game when it comes to sealed lead acid batteries. Bought these batteries to be installed into a 1000VA UPS. Replacement batteries for APC BX1400
I had to search youtube for a video to see how to take the UPS apart with destroying the plastic retaining tags of the case. I removed the aged batteries. They are glued together with a self adhesive foam pad. It is possible to remove and use the pad if you are careful. The new batteries worked perfectly, first time.
