Works fine but has a couple of drawbacks.
This is the third or fourth steam cleaner I have had, it seems like after a few years and maybe only being used 3-4 times a year they all start to leak (dirty) water or the suction stops. I usually buy the lift off ones to make stair cleaning easier, as far as I can tell you have to drag this whole thing up the stairs as you go so that is why it lost half of 1 star. The other loss of half a star is because when you get this thing filled with water it becomes top heavy and the downward pressure is pretty great. On the lift off types the clean water and dirty water are both on the wheels and not attached to the handle like this one is. Both the clean water resivours and dirty water seem to hold more than my previous brands so you dont have to go running for refills or to dump the dirty water quite as often. After reading the reviews I dicided to try this one for its cleaning capabilities and to see if I could get some of the older stains out of my carpet from kids, dogs and husbands. I can really say it didnt do any better of worse than any of the previous ones, it did not get any of the older stains out, maybe lifed them a little but not much noticible difference. I used the small bottle of enclosed carpet cleaner and it seemed like it made my carpets a little stiffer and not soft to walk on. I usually add a few drops of fabric softener to the water to help prevent that but I did not do it this time since I wanted to see how well this cleaner did. Overall this machine is acceptable, we shall see in a few years if it too starts to leak water! I am about ready to either move out of this house or get hardwood flooring that would be easier to take care of anyway so if it lasts several years I will feel like I have gotten my moneys worth.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great vacuum cleaner for pet hair
This is definitely not lightweight. But the "floor sense" technology is awesome to go from carpet to hard floors. Nice bright light on the front of the head of the machine, which also swivels easily to fit into smaller spaces. I actually vacuumed my entire carpet with my old vacuum before trying this one. Amazing Results
I have a white low profile shag in my garage (man cave) and the carpet gets pretty dirty to say the least so bad that I would pull it out and lighty pressure wash. It would take several days to dry out. Purchased this machine and it cleans better and only took about 15 minutes on 10 x 12 carpet and was 90% dry after about 2 hours.
