OK but check out other players first.
Certainly upscales DVDs to near Blu Ray level and Blu Rays are improved, though it may depend on your TV whether you will see much improvement in Blu Rays. (you may need a 4K TV to experience full improvement). The WiFi works but the Apps on the player are not that good, unless you have Netflix or other subscrber Apps. There is iPlayer and BBC News, but it does say BBC News is moving on to iPlayer. All the other Apps, I haven't bothered with. The Menus are clunky to use. Just putting a disc in does not automatically start to play, as I have experienced in othe DVD and Blu Ray players, it takes a bit of manouevering with the remote. All in all, not bad for the money I paid but I expect that it is a little out of date now and there are other players out there that would be betterVerified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Great little DVD Player
I am very impressed with the image and sound quality delivered by this compact player. I am using connected to an HDMI monitor and a separate stereo speaker. The smart features are very useful as we subscribe to both Netflix and Amazon Prime and it enable us to watch them and BBC iplayer in the kitchen. The quality of picture from both Blu-ray and standard DVD's is excellent. My only criticism is the rather small buttoned and slow actioned remote. Cheap DVDs had to buy player
Bought a load of 3d and blue ray DVDs for Mountain Rescue charity. So then had to buy a player. After six years of owning 4k 3d TV, managed to get 3d playing on my TV. The players great. 3D DVDs not so much fun to watch. Quality, Value and unbeatable for the price.
A bargain hard to refuse. The picture quality is superb and that is just on my 1080i TV (I will have enough money to buy a Panasonic 4K one day) and the sound output through my surround sound system is awesome. Make sure sound output is Bitstream if going through an amp/receiver. Captain Marvel just burst from the screen, the colours were perfect and blacks nice and dark but detail still defined. The sound was crisp and the deep stuff was loud but clear. It came well packaged and delivery was very quick too. This was a well packaged item that was so well boxed I couldn’t find the entry. Once opened it was easily connected and up and running with ease and runs a familiar front end set up. Excellent image quality.
The image quality and the upscaling are both excellent and it is a smart looking unit with a brushed aluminium effect finish to the top. It automatically takes priority on the television when it is turned on but rather oddly, the TV input has to be reset when it is turned off, though this could be a clash between two manufacturers.
