Best one ever made

Cheap...
You only get what you pay for... I guess I should have paid closer attention to the pictures. Although it's listed as a stainless steel vegetable peeler the blade is made out of plastic. Most likely nylon. It's not even a ceramic blade. Plastic, yes plastic. It'll do for now. But I will be looking for much better high quality stainless steel blade vegetable peeler. I do a lot of potato peeling and I can go through a blade in a matter of weeks. It's a shame they charge so damn much for these things. The really only worth about $0.50 each. should have carbon steel in the name.
My sister gave me one of these 10 years ago. This is made of stainless steel but the blade is made of carbon steel that needs to be washed and dried after each use. It is as sharp as new. I absolutely love mine and wanted these to give as gifts because everyone wants mine. If they get a little less expensive I will buy lots more. It's very easy to use and the blade hugs the potato, veggie or whatever for easy use. If you zig-zag with it, it peels tomatoes beautifully. Good Peeler. Easy to handle.
The blade is nice and sharp and easily peels. Comfortable hand position. Edges of frame on either side are lower than many so makes it easier for the blade to ride on the peeling surface. Light as well. Looks like might be carbon steel blade, since is the darker color, which must be dried after each use BUT carbon steel holds it's edge much longer. Remember constantly sharpening stainless steel knives? Get a carbon steel knife, that rusts if you don't dry it, and you will see what I mean about sharpness.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I love this peeler. It fits to your hand so well and is very comfortable to use. I gave one to my daughter and she loves it too. I had an old peeler from the 30s that I have always used but it is finally playing out. This is the closest to that old one that I could find. I think this is even better than the old one.
