High style toothbrush
This item looks sleek and stylish. It has a nice, quiet sound, and feels good, but it does not make my teeth feel clean. It does not seem to do well on the back of the anterior teeth. I have been using the Braun for several years and feel I will go back to it for the next replacement. I have only used the Sonicate for a month, but am seeing evidence of ineffective brushing. This black color is quite attractive, but I'm afraid the color is the most distinctive feature, the operation of brushing teeth does not seem effective. After questioning 3 hygienists and 5 dentists, it was interesting that none recommended an electric toothbrush over a manual model.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Tickles my mouth
I guess because it's a sonic, it vibrates so fast that it tickles the roof of my mouth which is very uncomfortable. I should have realized that because it said Sonic, it would not be the same as a regular toothbrush. I hope to get use to it as time goes on. An excellent replacement electric toothbrush
I had an older model Philips Sonicare and the replacement brushes don't fit it. It was loosing juice after about 12 years of use so I finally decided to get a new one. I've had it for maybe a month now and I can discern a notable difference in the quality of the brushing. The new brush is more aggressive and I feel that I'm getting better cleaning and scrubbing action. I don't know what more I could ask for from an electric toothbrush....and great price! Second One After 15 Years
I had a 3000 (was it 5000?) series for over a decade on the recommendation of my dentist. Really liked it and I think it improved my checkups as advertised, though there really isn't any way to prove that. When the rechargeable batter died, I bought a cheap, battery operated one to save a few bucks. Two days after the new one arrived, it was headed to the landfill and I ordered this Sonicare. Love my new electric toothbrush!
I've never had an electric toothbrush before. However, I did my research and found that "Philips Sonicare" would be the best one, for me. Needless to say, I absolutely love my electric toothbrush! Every time I brush my teeth I feel as though I just had my teeth cleaned at the dentist office. It even has a timer program if you want, so that you can have the toothbrush set exactly at 2 minutes for you. And it beeps to let you know to go to your next step! It's amazing! I have always had an electric toothbrush, but. Cord went Bad. Now this Sonicare 2 is Awesome. Came sooner than expected. Charged brush. My teeth immediately! So Fresh and Clean. Also. Like the added Feature with 2 minute Timer. This is Exceptional! Price. Not high with all the features. I will return.to your site. I need added Brushes to change my brush head every 3 Months. Excellent value
I've been using a Sonicare Essence series for years & the vibration on this one seems just a little weak, compared to the essence but sufficient. The big brush head on the essence screws on, so it's easy for it to run quietly with just the vibration sound. This brush head is tons more practical to work with but makes slightly more noise than the essence & I'm over that. Sonicare is better than electric toothbrush
I had used electric toothbrushes for almost 2 decades. I had never used any Sonicare brand even though my brother and his family all used it. I floss often so I have good checkups but lately my teeth don't feel "clean" after brushing. I even started using the polish toothpastes but felt the same so I decided to look into Sonicare. The prices on some are outrageous, it may be cheaper to have my teeth professionally clean 4 times a year for the price of some of those toothbrushes. This Sonicare series 2 ~$30 was the right price for me to try it and see if sonic cleaning does make a difference. My first time after brushing, my teeth felt almost like a professional cleaning. I do think it's different from other electric toothbrushes. The replacement brush heads are another costly expense but I found good reviews on a generic brand and tried it and did not notice a significant difference for me to pay ~$9 for the brand versus ~$2 each. It works.
At first I was apprehensive about its ability to clean. It seemed to just sit there and buzz, no back and forth motion like the electric tooth brushes I have been using for the last 40 years. After using it a few times and checking y teeth afterwards it seems to clean just fine.
