This curling styler works well, but it didn't hold a curl for my hair. Don't know if it isn't hot enough or it's just my hair. It may work better for someone else. This is a lifesaver. Easy to use makes your hair shiny and smooth. Even the next day after you have product in it. Blow dry your hair and use it you don't get burned and your hair looks great. Finally! I can transform my stick straight hair into a tumble of bouncy, shiny curls! My friends and family have been gobsmacked upon seeing my new style! Doubly so when I tell them I spent about 8 minutes start to finish and did it myself with one simple but awesome tool. Crazy fast and easy to use. Take it from this grandma who refuses to spend precious time fiddling with my hair. Yes, if you don't pay attention you can occasionally get it stuck in longer hair, but not typically. Two heat settings. I use the high setting and the barrel is still not to hot to handle thanks to the perfect bristle length. And there is no heat damage whatsoever on the permed portion of my hair, nor on the new growth. I use no heat or styling product, just a mist of hairspray once in a while when finished. Bought as gift because I LOVE mine
Love this tool - mine is six years old - the original Calista Hair Perfector, ordered off late night tv and it has been my every single day hair tool. Ebay is the only place I could find the original version = same barrel and same uncomplicated slide on/off switch - gave to my 85 yr old aunt who needed something to help easily put a curl/a flip in her hair. Best heated hair tool I've ever used - wish they'd add an auto-shut-off feature :-) That's all that's missing. Two heat settings are enough for me = Hi/Low. It is kinder to hair than a flat iron or curling iron and claims to be ceramic and ion charged. It smooths my hair nicely and quickly - use it like a brush on thoroughly dried and brushed out/detangled hair. Love it.
