The industry standard
Truth is if you’re reading this you already have an inkling that Pelican is the gold standard and what you want. You’re thinking maybe you could spend half this price point and be satisfied. Really it depends on what type of individual you are. Do your firearms matter to you? Are you squared away or are you running on unrealistic self image denying the actual self evident facts before you? Quality matter? Then decide if some cut rate case is good enough for the very tools you rely on to protect yourself and your family. All my tools are in Pelican cases because they work. They perform as advertised. Water proof, air tight, dust proof, chemical proof, crush proof, and this particular model will float in salt water with a 55lb load. Even has a valve to relieve pressure. And wheels for dragging it like luggage. Whether storing my tools or transporting them I trust Pelican and they have never failed me in a wide variety of conditions. I have 2 of these 50” models and in one is my 18” AR with it’s Magpul stock fully extended and which is topped with a Valdada IOR 1-10x with the fore loaded with a full furniture package and in the other I have the Ak with its furniture package and accessories. This 50” case allows comfortably spaces to be made for carrying magazines, cleaning kit, etc along with your rifle. You trace to fit your rifle and accessories on the 2nd sheet of foam then cut them out. You will them have to use a spray adhesive to attach that cut out sheet to the cases bottom sheet of foam. To cut the foam I’ve found a bread knife works outstanding. Do your cut outs in whole pieces as you will need them to protect the bottom sheet from the spray glue where your rifle and it’s accessories will lay while you bind the bottom and cut out middle sheet. The price point for this was $269 and worth every penny. So yes, this is the case you want.
