It just doesn't work
The mystery green liquid supplied with this product is not what you expect if you review any of the videos you find on the internet. Simply stated the Grass hot does nothing, it fails to mix with the seed and almost all of it shoots out of the hose within the first three seconds of use. That leaves you with no green coverage over the spot you are trying to bring back to life; most of t;he seed remainsl in the jar with clear water covering it. It'd be hard pressed to find anything I had purchased here on ebay in the last 15 years that failed to meet the minimum claims set forth for it in the product advertising as much as this does. Grass Shot NOT
Tried 2 of these units in comparison to the "Other Liquid Lawn Product" as seen on TV for a Cost Saving - 1st unit leaked badly so i hand spread the seed - a small 5' circle - Did grow BUT did not last the season-unless some comes back next year - tried a 2nd unit - no leaks BUT the Solution/Seed Mix in BOTH Units did NOT come out the Thick Green Goo as pictured - very little of that seed grew BUT at least i got a working sprayer out of this deal, hence the ONE Star - took so long to see/ or not results that it was out of the "Satisfaction Refund" Time Period - a waste of Time & MoneyVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works OK with Fresh Seed
Item arrived with seed several years past recommended use date. Substituted fresh seed and vermiculite and was able to spred seed easily over large area. No problems with sprayer jamming. Quick and easy way to seed, new or old lawn.Verified purchase: Yes

Waste of money!
I have a few troubled areas where my dog relieves himself on the lawn so I did the research and watched the video about this product. Not at all as described and is the biggest waste of money. Talk about a disappointment! I purchased 3 of these thinking 1 might not work but to have 3 work NOTHING like the description was unbelievable. Unfortunately I did not read the reviews. The first 1/2 bag was gone in 12 sq ft, there was no green color.
The second half I mixed by hand, the reason the first went so fast is all the seeds float to the top. After mixing about 10 minutes the seeds began to swell and I got decent coverage but still no green. They must coat the seed with sugar as I found several types of ants and insects that I did not know I had caring the seed off in mass.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Absolutely Worthless.
Despite following the directions carefully, what came out of the sprayer was water with some granular seed mix. Nothing even remotely resembling the green coating associated with hydroseeding. And after 2 weeks, not a single blade of grass. While I was not expecting much from an "as seen on TV" product, I was still unimpressed. Not great..

Don't be fooled.
This product does not come out like a hydroseed. It is totally liquid, doesn't present green "mousse" like appearance, and will not germinate. This was a total waste of money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
