V3i learning curve
I have been metal detecting for over 30 years and after much research, I decided to upgrade to a V3i. Some sell the V3i alone for $1349. I found a super package deal from Treasure_Outfitters for $1399 that included over $300 worth of accessories. I purchased my V3i in January so the ground is still frozen here. My time has been spent reading everything I can about this fine machine. I viewed the DVD and read the owners manual from cover to cover. They are quite informative, but if you really want to understand everything the V3i is capable of, you need to read the V3i metal detector forums on the internet and watch videos on utube. The information you can get from the real experts is phenomenal. They know what works and what doesn’t. They know all the little tricks to get even more depth out of this machine. This Detector as quite a long learning curve as it has so many features. When I first got the V3i, I was a bit overwhelmed. I am starting to understand now how all of the features work now and can’t wait till spring. Don’t get discouraged, it just takes more time to learn. You need this machine.
The V3i is incredible. The biggest value I get from it is being able to cross-reference the VDI number with other included software on board.
