Battery purchased for Honda St1300
This is the one to get. It is also the Honda recommended item. Not a cheaper sub. It has more cranking power etc and will last longer than a cheaper alternative. It is a sealed unit which means it won't leak electrolyte. Check the figures quoted on the battery for cranking amps and amp hours when comparing others. Bare in mind Halfords sell this exact same battery for 100 quid. Buy it from Padgetts M/C's for 65.50 with the postage. Arrived quickly and was ready to put straight in the bike. Excellent. Yuasa battery
After a bit of research i decided to go for this battery. It certainly aint the cheapest out there but its top quality and well made. Fits perfectly on the bike. Yuasa ytz 14s is actually for the st 1300 pan European but i fit it on my vfr 800 vtec as the 14s as a few amps more than the 12s. Reasonable delivery time frame An exact O/E equipment replacement. So, performance as expected. Battery sits on it's side in my application, so requirement for a quality battery in order to avoid acid spills. Yuasa is a quality battery manufacturer and this battery is no exception...... But at a price, of course.
