The best upright vacuum.
This is my second Hoover Wind Tunnel and I still love it, if it's possible to live a vacuum. I still have my first Hoover Wind Tunnel and it would be my only one if my ex-housekeeper had not tried to force it when she was changing the height. It has great suction, a long and sturdy cord, its not too heavy, self propelled and the bags are easy to change and throw away. I have 2 short hair dogs who seem to lose a ton of hair and this does a great job at capturing all of it. The attachments are stored on the back and are easy to use. I gave it 4 stars because most everything can be improved. If you are looking for a new vacuum, this is what you should buy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I bought this vacuum because I thought my 5 year old Wind Tunnel was giving out - it WASN'T
Great vacuum, but NOT the model advertised. That's why I gave it three stars. The model I received is U5491900 Practically identical to the one advertised. Still, you SHOULD get what you pay for! Just received, assembled, and tested the one received yesterday. Initially, it works great - as does the 5 year old U50000. (Apparently, I made a mistake when reassembling after replacing belts. A dream come true
Love the ease of use with the self propelled feature. Had one previously that was bagless and it's the only type of vacuum we can use as our carpet is so thick. Not crazy about a bag and the cord is shorter than the previous one. The vacuum was listed as used but there is not a mark on it, looks brand new. Powerful, but heavy
I am impressed with the power of this vacuum. It has great suction, and many easy to use attachments. The only issue I have with it is the weight. It is heavy! If it weren't self propelled, I don't think I could push it. I bought is specifically to use in my upstairs rooms, so I wouldn't have to lug my other vacuum up and down the stairs. Great vacuum for the price
I have 2 of these vacuums- one upstairs and one downstairs. They work great, have good tools and I like not having to empty them. I prefer bagged cleaners so I can just take the bag off and throw it away. My only complaint would be that I wish the self- propelled feature was stronger. Good suction powerx just a little complicated to assemble- disassemble.

my hoover vacuum cleaner
seller had 3 of these for sale. i bought one of them. should have bought more. They were $75.00 a piece with free shipping. I try only to buy from ebay with free shipping. I have bought these hoover anniversary wind tunnel self propelled bagged vacuum cleaner for many years now. Everytime i buy one. The quality isn't as good as the last one i bought. I accept it and treat each one a little more gently. You can't rough house them like the old ones. Because they won't last. So i don't bump into things like i use to. I don't bang them up the stairs like i use to. i just treat them with more respect then the older ones i have had. Even though every time i buy a new one or newer one they look the same but they are not. But these anniversary units really suck up the dirt and the bagged one cause less dust in my house. Tried the unbagged ones...but they just leave too much dust as they get older...not when they are newer. After i got this one and tried it out, i tried to go back and see if the seller had the other two he advertised......but they were gone...so i bought another one he had...a more basic bagged one they had for 60.00 plus free shipping. No more bagless ones for me...too messy and too much dust throughout the house. Treat this one gently and you will get along fine...treat it rough and you will not be happy. It is self propelled but unlike the older ones i have had...the self propelled isn't as good as it use to be. It also has brushless/or brush control...just more the control from hardwood to carpet to activate the brushing rollers. Also this has the little bristles on the side of the vacuum head which helps cleaning against the walls...again they are not as good as they used to be..so keep working it against the wall...the dirt will come up. these bags are expensive so get as many free ones as you can. Also consumers reports has this rated at about number 8 or 9 or 8 on their best bagged vacuum cleaners. The other one i bought from the same seller for 60.00 is a more basic model bagged and it is rated about 5 or 6 one the consumers report guide. Self Propelled & Pivoting Issue
Heavy in weight vacuum that requires effort to pivot not experienced in other units. Immediate problem with the self propell switching requiring the disassembly of the trigger section to get it working properly. (Poor design.)
