Replaced my old 20 year old unit with this one
They say if it ain't broke, don't mess with it and that's certainly true with this food processor; this is an updated version of my old 11-Cup processor. I'd beaten up my old unit to the extent that the bowl was starting to come apart. I was looking around to just replace the bowl and realized for about the same money I could replace the whole unit. I do like that this comes with a blade holder because I was forever nicking my fingers on the blades loosely sitting in the draw. It's a win-win for me :) This unit is great with dry and wet ingredients. The newer unit is a little harder to situate the bowl because of the safety detents, but once I get in the habit of the newer unit it should become second nature. I would say that I prefer to use the mixer for making dough, but if you don't have a mixer, this will work in a pinch. I also put everything except the base into the dishwasher and the blades have never dulled. Note: there is a recall from cuisinart on the cutting blade, but I am using the blade from my old unit while I wait for the free replacement.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Product not perfect but useable.
The product was advertised as used but there was no mention of cracks prior to purchase but I did not ask either. Interestingly enough the cracks were in exactly the same place as the cracks on the unit I was replacing. Nevertheless, the product was useable and replaced my unit, which was not useable. Perfect for thin slicing
I have been wanting to slice certain veggies thinner than the 4mm disc that I have had for some time. This size was perfect for that, and I can now slice cabbage for cole slaw as thin as I prefer. Works, but not exactly the same as original bowl
I purchased this bowl as a replacement. The fit is perfect and compatible with the 11 cup processor. The only change is that you can no longer twist the lid off with the bowl seated on the base like the original bowl. Love the stainless version- watch for recall
The design is easy to clean! Btw... the newer bowl take a different blade then the classic models... If you car upgrading your old blades are useless. ••Also there is a recall on the main cutter blade. Free replacement just takes time. •• The machine is very solid. I really love all the attachments, the price was reasonable, and 600w of power... I couldn't be happier. I laminated the gadget list, so I had a handy reference for how to use it. It has so many attachments that I can do anything, from crunching up nuts, shredding cheese and making French fries to making baby food. I haven't used the mixer gadget yet, but I do see smoothies in my future.
