Better
I am living on board and moving frequently. On ICW one needs very good binoculars. Nikon is better than I expected. Clear, easy to use and 14 mag. The only "negative" thing is it is heavy for kids.

Excellent bino, must have for boaters and outdoorsman alike!
I must say, i have been an avid boater and outdoorsman for decades. These are by far the greatest binocular I have ever used. Crystal clear, powerful, and the images stabilization is outstanding. Of course being a Nikon optic, it is of the highest quality. It is too bad Nikon doesn't make these any longer.

These binoculars are better than radar for finding birds over fish
I did not get much use out of traditional binos when rocking in my 23 ft boat, but these 14x;40 stabilized binos make finding birds 2 to 3 miles out possible. Heavy, but that's understandable with the high tech gyros inside this gem.
