CDR that does a great job
This is a very old CDR made in the late 1990's early 2000's. This purchase was in VERY GOOD condition. Nearly all the others listed were not in that good condition. I bought 2 before and both did NOT work. Without a user manual, you won't understand how to use it. It makes no sound to hear unless you use phones. I use it only for making new CD compilations to play in the car, on my home stereo, etc. I've used Philips CDR's since the mid 1980's and they do a great job. The problem with the older ones ( not the one reviewed here) is that you can no longer get CD's that it will record on. A change in the CD's computer logic has been modernized and won't record on the new blank CD-R's. Buy late model units and in EXCELLENT CONDITION!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

we need better music cd-r compatability
this seems to be a well built and comprehensive machine. that said, i have not yet been able to use it because it hasn`t liked the 3 music cd-r brands i have tried so far including maxell which worked perfectly in 2 previous cd recorders tho not philips. my search work a useable music-cd-r continues.......Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

this is my third unit...others have simply stopped in mid play and altho perfectly able of being restarted they stopped hearing a full CD...this one works...i have kept the others for parts but I think it is the laser scanner that is defective...it is an iffy buy but the carolsel is a great idea and it works...so it doesnt seem to have mechanical probs. only electronic. the manual doesnt require a degree in engineering but it would help..,.never used the recorded function..will in future.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
