Celestron Skymaster 15x70 Binoculars with tripod adapter
I was pleased with the SkyMaster when it arrived. However, the adapter would not fit on my photography tripod and the plastic knob that screws the adapter to the binoculars broke off when I touched it. So now I have to use pliers to turn the end of the adapter screw to attach it to the binoculars. I also had to shave material off the adapter to get it to match up to tripod plate, Otherwise the binoculars are great for looking at the stars. It is heavy to hold and is difficult to look at the stars for any length of time because of the weight. I really have not had a chance to use my tripod yet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Heavy and not good for close up
The binoculars are very heavy and are excellent for things out in the distance. The binoculars can not be focused for things 20 feet away. I use two pair to view birds. All birds are not in the air or in the top of trees. Some are on a tree limb only a few feet away. robust and simple to use

Celestron Skymaster binoculors
For the price, they are great binoculars for star gazing. Although a little large for hand-holding, they capture plenty of light in the dark so where you might see 5 stars with your eye, you will see many more around them using these. Price point bench mark
Wont beat out the high end Japanese and German big binocular offerings,but for the price it is pretty neat. I bought mine with collimation problems but within an hour it was perking along perfectly thanks to U-tube video on the Skymaster collimation process.Verified purchase: Yes

Definitely not for viewing the sky!!!
I’m a amateur when it comes to things like this but just wanted a pair of good quality binoculars for viewing the sky!! You can definitely see the Moon great with them but not so much when looking at stars and planets!! Very disappointed!! Great way to see the stars

Construction not very strong
The screw that holds the eyepiece ensemble broke after a gentle fall. Had to replace it with a M5 screw. The adjustable eyepiece can be easily pulled out completely. Not sure if it's by design.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Beautiful observations
Really brings in the distant objects. Neck band supplied too narrow, found a camera one that felt much better. For the walk out in the field I would suggest the elastic chest halter and for stationary a tripod mount to fight fatigue and shake.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Celestron Binoculars
These are excellent. A little heavy though, but I can deal with that. Crystal clear images. My second pair of Celestron binoculars, I love them. This summer part of our vacation includes Mesa Verda National Park and the Grand Canyon, these will be invaluable. I just wish they came with a better neck strap.
