  • No better than my dci 962's

Upon receipt I immediately took them to the range and compared them with my DCI 962 irons head to head. Honestly, very little difference between them and my DCI 962 'S, definetly not any longer, maybe a little higher loft, maybe? I'm mildly amused that after all the hype and some 21 years later, that's it? I'm gonna game these for a few rounds just to make sure but as of now I'm truly underwhelmed. I'm not a range rat and I don't buy into the club fitting hype either. It either works or it doesn't, and it's really that simple. But, for those who have read this far, I'm gaming 962's with tt s300 shafts and the ap2 716 set is stiff with the 95 recoil shaft. The only difference is that I have oversized grips on my DCI clubs. I've ordered new grips and will update after I upgrade the ap2 set but honestly I don't think it's gonna make that significant of a difference. But.... it might. They look great, feel great, little slimmer top line profile. I want to be overwhelmed but as of now, I'm not. I play to an 8 hdcp and average 240 off the tee. 3 wood 210, 5 wood 195, 4 hybrid 180, 5 hybrid 165, 6 hybrid 155, Pw 100 yds, 9 iron 115, 8 iron 125, 7 iron 135, 6 iron 145. Carrying a 50, 52, 58 for wedges, yes I know that's an odd gap but I'm a feel player, right tool for the job kind of thing. I'm giving my numbers in case it helps someone who is similar to me. Not hating, just underwhelmed.

  • Titleist Ap2 712 irons

If you like irons that set up pure at address you will love the looks of the Ap2. They set up very similar to Mizuno irons. The Aerotech shafts are excellent feeling. If you are a talented older golfer with a bit of arthritis- I would recommend this type of shaft. The Ap2 irons are super consistent in relation to distant control and dispersion.

  • Slightly impresssd, not disappointed

Clean set of irons. Previously played blades. An obvious statement, you can feel the ball more when using blades. But these irons still give you a decent amount of feel, as well as forgiveness. If you are in between the two, I would personally stick with full blades- but I don’t regret these irons it that helps.

  • Titliest Irons Improved My Distance

After changing clubs several years ago I noticed my yardage with iron shots from the fairways required a longer yardage club than I use to need. I attributed this to some minor arthritis and getting older. I should mention I had given up golf for about 10 years to raise my kids after a bitter divorce in which I retained custody. I decided to purchase a set of the AP2 irons and try them. Needless to say I have gained the 15-20 yards per iron shot I had lost with the other set of clubs. Great clubs and you will definitely be able to tell the difference in your game!!

  • Classic looking with great results!

Great set of irons. Classic looking but have game improvement features built in. Slightly different sound and feel at impact from the forged irons I was playing before but not a problem because of the results with these irons. Titleist makes great golf clubs!

  • Titleist AP2 714 4-GW

Great price on a really nice set of AP2 714. Irons were exactly as described. Packing inside the club box could have been better, the irons made it in one piece. Such a better feel with the Project X 6.0. From one Kentuckian to another; GO WILDCATS!

  • Titleist AP2 712

These clubs are fantastic. I had been hitting MacGreggor blades forever. They were a hand-me-down set from my father. I used those clubs through high school and college; then, into my adult years. I went out and hit the ap2’s and just love em. Great line, looks great... glad I bought them.

  • AP2 Irons with Regular Steel Fibre Shafts..

These are for my daughter who was looking for cost effective players irons that fit her spec. We bought these to try out and flip (or even pull the shafts and sell the heads), before investing in a new AP2 set, but she still uses them today and refuses to change them. We got lucky with the spec to be honest...everything was spot on as we hoped.
